Learning Outcomes

• Explore the definition of digital literacy and its associated knowledge and skills necessary to participate in B.C. post-secondary communities.
• Assess their own digital literacy knowledge and skills.
• Understand security and privacy laws in digital spaces.
• Understand and follow academic integrity guidelines in digital learning spaces.
• Know how to use some technology to conduct daily tasks related to post-secondary education safely and securely.
• Troubleshoot some common technology issues.
• Identify, differentiate, and appropriately use different types of online information.
• Use technologies effectively to complete the online components of courses.
• Select tools that will help with research and academic pursuits.
• Use online tools to communicate and collaborate with others effectively and respectfully.
• Develop flexibility in working with others (such as online, in-person, at the same time or at different times).
• Understand and follow protocols for respectfully and appropriately using community knowledge when working in digital spaces.
• Create and curate digital materials for different audiences and platforms.
